Questions, answered
Which restaurants does Pickt cover?
50+ chains across Australia and New Zealand at launch, including burger, Mexican, sushi, chicken, coffee and sandwich chains, with more added every month. For local spots, snap the menu and Pickt estimates it.
Where do the numbers come from?
Verified items use the nutrition information chains publish themselves. Estimated items are calculated by us and always show a range. Every item is labelled so you know which is which.
Can it handle allergies and diets?
Yes. Set your allergies, diet (vegetarian, vegan, halal, keto and more) and foods you'd rather avoid, and Pickt filters every menu. If a chain doesn't publish allergen info for an item, it's never shown as safe. Always confirm with the restaurant if you have a serious allergy.
Does it use kilojoules or calories?
Kilojoules by default, because that's what Australian and New Zealand menus use. You can switch to calories in settings.
What's the home meal planner?
Describe your week in plain English (who you're cooking for, your goals, time and what to avoid) and Pickt plans it, with recipes scaled to your household and one combined shopping list. Swap any day without redoing the rest. It's coming soon after launch.
How does Pickt pick the best meal?
Every item gets a score out of 100 for how well it fits your next meal: kilojoules, protein, carbs and fat against what you have left, then your diet, allergies and foods you avoid. The best scores rise to the top of each menu.
What about local cafés and restaurants?
Pickt shows over 139,000 places across Australia and New Zealand. For places without published nutrition, Pickt reads their menu (from their website, or a photo you take) and estimates it, clearly labelled with a range.
What is "How to order"?
Simple tweaks for a dish that suit your goal, like a smaller size, a swap or an extra serve of protein. They're estimates, so check options and allergens with the restaurant.
Is Pickt free?
Yes, Pickt is free during early access.
What data does Pickt keep?
Only what it needs: the goals and preferences you set, meals you log and places you save, tied to a random ID on your phone. No name, email or location history. No ads, and we never sell your data. See our privacy policy.
Do I need an account?
No. Pickt works straight away with no email or password. You can delete everything from Settings at any time.
